So this past week was a good experience both life and clinical wise. I got to preform many skills in the clinics this week that I have not had the expereince back in the states. I mostly enjoyed working with the kids and administering immunizations to them. This past friday, we got to go to an elementary school to give HPV immunizations to the 10 year old girls and other immunizations to other students in need. It was good experience to learn the exact techniques the nurses use here in Panama when administering shots. They were also very welcoming and the kids were so cute to interact with. We also donated paper, pens, and pencils to each classroom.
This morning we packed up our things and headed out of the rancho kevin en route to el valle. The scenery was amazing once we reached el valle. We are surrounded by mountains!! We did not expect much of the hotel from our previous experience but were presently suprised when we arrived. The hotel is so cute and quaint with WIFI!!! A few of us got to visit the hot springs today which was a cool expereince. We paid a dollar for a mud facial and a 45 minute dip in the hot springs which was very relaxing. I can't wait for tomorrow to go ziplining and explore a 3 hour hiking trail up the mountains.
